HOKE COUNTY, N.C. — Three Hoke County inmates who have been on the run for days are now back in a North Carolina jail.
Deputies just brought them back from the Cobb County, Ga., area.
Officers caught Hector Frausto, Steven Locklear and Christopher Handon Tuesday.
Sheriff Hubert Peterkin plans to move Frausto and Handon to the Cumberland County Jail Thursday night. He said officials there are better equipped to watch the inmates.
The three inmates, along with 32-year-old John Shannon Phillips, escaped from the jail Oct. 28. Phillips was arrested a short time later for allegedly trying to shoplift new clothing.
