HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Two UNC students were found guilty of disorderly conduct for their protest during a basketball game.
Andrew Pearson and Liz Mason-Deese ran onto the floor of the Dean Dome during the UNC-Virginia game last February. They were protesting the war in Iraq.
A judge ordered them to perform 24 hours of community service. The school ordered them to stay away from the Dean Dome for two years.
On Monday, a judge dismissed charges against two others that were part of the protest.
