Durham Man Arrested On Robbery Charges

DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man was arrested Tuesday night and charged with robbing two peopleat gunpoint near the campus of North Carolina Central University.

The victims told officers they were on an unknown side street near Fayetteville Street and the NCCU campus when two men approached them around 11:30 p.m.

According to investigators, one man pulled out a gun and forced the two victims, a male and a female, to get on their knees. The men robbed the victims of cash and cellphones.

One suspect reportedly struck the male victim in the side of the head during the robbery.

NCCU police officers spotted two suspects in the area of Fayetteville Streetand Burlington Avenue and chased them on foot.

Durham and NCCU officers apprehended one suspect -- Kristoffer L. Page, 30, of 561 Liberty Street -- behind a house on Burlington Avenue near N.C. 55.

Page was charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon. The second suspect escaped.
