Raleigh Police Search For Man Who Ran To Avoid Arrest

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are searching for a man who ran away from his probation officer Wednesday morning.

According to reports, a foot chase started at the 800 block of New Hope Road near Poole Road, around 8:45 a.m.

Devaughn Holmes, 28, was reporting to his probation officer on New Hope Rd. He had some violations in his probation, and when the probation officer tried to handcuff him and arrest him, he escaped.

Holmes took off with one arm cuffed and the other arm free.

Holmes faces charges of breaking-and-entering and larceny.
