FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Cumberland County grand jury on Tuesday returned a two-count indictment against 38-year-old William Gregory Maynard, of 1167 Windham Court in Fayetteville, charging him with embezzlement by an insurance agent or broker and conspiracy to commit felony embezzlement.
Maynard is a former business partner of Anthony Wayne Allen, who was arrested last week on the same charges and indicted by a grand jury Tuesday.
Allen's bond was set at $5 million.
Allen and Maynard are being held in the Cumberland County Detention Facility.
