Male Escort Who Testified In Peterson Trial Faces Fraud Charges

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — The man who testified that he and Mike Peterson exchanged e-mails about a potential sexual encounter was arrested Monday.

Brent Wolgamott, known as "Brad" during the trial, was charged Monday with trying to get painkillers under false pretenses.

Police say he posed as a dentist and took forged prescriptions to a CVS pharmacy on Capital Boulevard two weeks ago. One of the drugs was hydrocodone, a narcotic used to treat pain.

Wolgamott told police he had been under stress from the trial. He is out of jail on bond.
