ROANOKE RAPIDS,N.C. — A Roanoke Rapids official accused of removing political signs is in the clear.
Charges were dropped Thursday against Sanitary District CEO Dan Brown.
Brown was caught on videotape removing political signs for two candidates running for a spot on the city's Sanitary District board.
Brown told a local newspaper he removed the signs because he did not want people thinking the district supported certain candidates.
