Vance County Applies For State Aid To Solve Drainage Problems

VANCE COUNTY, N.C. — Vance County is using state money to solve its drainage problem.
The county could receive up to $400,000 to extend water and sewer lines to the neighborhood which now has wells and septic tanks.
The grants will be awarded in February, but only one-third of those who apply will receive money.
The homeowners on Franklin Road said their water is contaminated and blame the county for not acting sooner.
