Sheriff's Office Arrests Suspect In Home Invasion

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Wake County Sheriff's Office, in cooperation with the Zebulon Police Department, has arrested a suspect in a home invasion that occurred Tuesday at 7429 Buck Road in Wendell just before midnight.

Warrants also have been issued for a second suspect.

Deputies arresed 29-year-old William Thomas Ray of Clayton. He was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, first-degree burglary, and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious bodily injury.

Warrants also have been issued for 26-year-old Kenneth Jerome Brown of Zebulon on charges that include first-degree burglary, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious bodily injury, and firing into an occupied dwelling.

According to the homeowner, three armed males forced their way into the home just after 11 p.m. One person was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Nothing was taken from the home.

Officials said the men took off in a blue and white pick up truck.
