Posted October 13, 2003 1:46 a.m. EDT

— Police in Raleigh continue to search for three men they said robbed a Raleigh jewelry store Friday evening.

According to police, around 5:30 p.m., a man was buzzed into the CMI Jewelry Store at 4640 Paragon Park Road under the pretense of having repair work done. Holding the door open, he allowed two accomplices into the business.

Police said once the men were inside, they smashed several cases and began removing merchandise. No firearms were displayed.

The men fled the store on foot, but were seen in a maroon vehicle that was thought to be either a Honda Accord or a Toyota Camry.

There were no other customers in the store at the time of the robbery, police said.

The suspects are described as black males in their 20s. Each man appeared to be approximately 6 feet tall and of average build. They all wore dark clothing that partially obscured their appearances.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Raleigh Police Department at (919) 890-3555.
