CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A pioneering civil rights attorney will deliver this year's commencement address at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Julius Chambers is the former chancellor at North Carolina Central University.
UNC-Chapel Hill Chancellor James Moeser said it is a great honor to have Chambers speak at the May graduation.
Chambers' speech will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling that made school segregation unconstitutional.
