West Raleigh Bank Robbed Second Time In Weeks

— For the second time in three weeks, the First Citizens Bank at the Mission Valley Shopping Center was robbed.

Raleigh police said a man entered the First Citizens Bank on Avent Ferry Road at 11:14 a.m. Wednesday displaying a silver handgun and announcing a robbery.

Police are looking for a black man 25 to 30 years old, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. Police said he was wearing dark-blue or black trousers, a white T-shirt, a cream-color fleece pullover and a cream-color baseball cap with blue pinstripes.

Authorities are still looking for a man they said robbed the bank Sept. 18.
