DURHAM, N.C. — A 50-year-old Durham man who was severely beaten in February died Friday as a result of his injuries.
Durham police said Larry Holland was beaten during an argument with another man on February 14in the parking lot at 545 Liberty Street. The man punched Holland in theface and stomped on his head.
Investigators arrested Antonio Ryals, 24, of 323 Dowd Streeton March 27 and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon with intent tokill inflicting serious injury. The charge against Ryals will be upgraded tomurder.
