RALEIGH, N.C. — Police in Raleigh are trying to identify a man who was struck and killed by a train early Sunday morning.
Police said the man was sitting on the tracks in the train yard near Peace Street when a train backing out of the yard hit him around 3:20 a.m.
They believe the man, who was not carrying identification, died instantly.
