RALEIGH, N.C. — Duke University in Durham, North Carolina State University in Raleigh and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill all will be back on their regular class schedules for Friday, the day after Hurricane Isabel passed through the state.

UNC will be open at 8 a.m. Friday. Classes will be held for students, and campus offices will be open. The adverse weather policy is in effect for employees. The university will be operating under condition I in its list of adverse weather notices.

Chapel Hill Transit is scheduled to resume normal service Friday morning for students who ride the bus to class. University and park-and-ride routes also are scheduled to start on time.

Classes at N.C. State also will be held Friday. Under the adverse weather policy, faculty, staff and students are responsible for their regularly-assigned duties and must make up time missed.

NCSU faculty are urged to give special consideration to students from regions seriously affected by the hurricane.
