Man Sought In Raleigh Kidnapping, Assault

RALEIGH, N.C. — Police in Raleigh are looking for a man suspected of kidnapping and assaulting a Raleigh woman.

Officials said the victim was forced into the suspect's vehicle at knifepointaround 12:20 a.m. Monday on Hoke Street near Garner Road.

The victim was driven to another location, where a struggle occurred, police said.She suffered knife wounds before escaping from the suspect.

Police are looking for a black man in his 30s or 40s, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 190 to 200 pounds. They said he has a medium complexion, a 4-inch high fade haircut, sideburns and amole, scar or blemish mark on the right cheek. He was wearing a navy blue polo-style shirt.

The suspect's vehicle was described as a white, 4-door, late 1980s, mid-size car with a dirty, blue interior and extremely loud muffler.
