Fort Bragg Canine Soldier Continues To Make Headlines

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — One of Fort Bragg's most popular soldiers continues to receive a lot of attention.

Fluffy was an Iraqi police dog used by Sgt. 1st Class Russell Joyce and other Special Operations soldiers during the war. The pair now live in Cumberland County.

Since coming to the United States, Fluffy got a lifetime supply of dog food from Iams and the Extraordinary Service to Humanity Award in New York City.

Joyce is now writing a children's and adult book on his experiences with Fluffy in Iraq.
