PERSON COUNTY, N.C. — The man in the middle of an alleged dog attack in Person County went before a judge Monday on different charges.
Michael Dowdell is accused of intimidating witnesses in a dogfighting case, including the assistant district attorney.
Dowdell was the prime suspect in a plot to release a fighting dog on animal control officer Patsy Ann Bryant in Person County. However, investigators later ruled Bryant made up the story.
