Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — Four days of nonstop talk paid off big for Duke Children's Hospital.

Bill Jordan and Sheri Logan from WRAL-FM's MIX 101.5 morning show presented a check for $781,095to Duke Children's Hospital at the Streets at Southpoint Sunday evening.

The 10th annual radiothon started at the mall at 6 a.m. Thursday and ended at 6 p.m. Sunday.

"Almost $800,000, we don't have any corporate sponsors. They're all MIX listeners giving $20 here, $200 there. It all adds up, and that's a lot of money," Logan said.

"It's a tribute to MIX listeners and the love they have for the children at Duke Hospital," Jordan said.

This year's total was a bit less than in the past. Organizers said that is because the radiothon was one day shorter.
