WILSON, N.C. — Shots fired during an argument between co-workers Saturday lands one man in the hospital and another in jail.
Wilson police responded to a call at a cab stand on North Railroad Street just after 10 p.m. When they arrived, they found cab driver Gurney Woodard shot in the head.
Another cab driver, Cornelius Ellis, turned himself in to police. The district attorney has not said whether charges will be filed.
Woodard is in critical condition at Pitt Memorial Hospital.
