HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — There is more trouble for a former lawman accused of videotaping women at a tanning salon in Orange County.
Billy Apple, a former Durham police officer, faces 10 new charges on top of the 84 counts filed against him earlier this year.
Investigators say Apple hid video cameras in tanning booths and recorded the women without their knowledge.
The new charges involve new victims as well as one count of taking indecent liberties with a student at East Chapel Hill High School, where he used to coach softball.
