Man Awaiting Trial For Murder Arrested On Drug, Weapons Charges

DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man out on bond awaiting trial on a murder charge was arrested early Friday on drug and weapons charges.
Daher Charles Holloway, 22, is accused of shooting to death Augusta Dewayne Bass in the 1400 block of Evelyn Street July 31, 2002.
Early Friday, members of the Durham Police Department's District 1 Crime Area Target Team arrested Holloway. The team was responding to complaints about possible drug activity in the 1500 block of North Hyde Park Avenue.
Officers found 12.5 grams of crack cocaine and a 9mm handgun with an extra clip in Holloway's possession.
Holloway was charged with possession of crack cocaine with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver and with carrying a concealed weapon. His bond was set at $50,000.
