RALEIGH, N.C. — A wealthy golf lover may be the Raleigh Country Club's best shot at digging out of the red.
John McConnell has tentatively agreed to pay off creditors and fund operations in return for ownership of the 55-year-old facility.
The deal is still being worked out. It must be approved by club members and bankruptcy court.
McConnell runs A4 Health Systems in Cary.
