RALEIGH, N.C. — A suspect's flight for freedom came to a crashing end Sunday.
Raleigh police officers spotted Dwayne Powell with outstanding warrants outside a southwest Raleigh apartment complex.
Police said Powell went inside the building and tried hiding in an attic shared by four apartments. While trying to break into a unit, Powell fell through the ceiling, then broke out a window to escape.
Police were waiting for him and made their arrest.
