AUTRYVILLE, N.C. — The road woes are over for some Sampson County drivers.
A six-foot sinkhole has been repaired and road reopened.
The sinkhole temporarily shut down a section of N.C. 24 Thursday near Autryville. Water filled a drainage box and caused a 10-inch pipe to burst. The pavement then collapsed.
The Department of Transportation has fixed the pipe and filled the hole. The road was open again Friday.
