— Durham police are investigating a robbery that occurred Wednesday night at Whitehall Jewelers in Southpoint Mall.

The call came in from store manager Todd Dixon at 10:43 p.m. Wednesday. There were 19 diamond rings missing from a display case, worth an estimated $78,000.

Police said they had no suspects Thursday morning. The diamonds were discovered missing when the manager was closing up the shop.
