HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — A Harnett County woman on trial for the murder of her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend has been found guilty of accessory after the fact.
Roswitha Morrison will spend about nine years in prison for her role in the death of Brenda Lancaster.
Lancaster was shot 10 times last year and her body dumped in a drainage ditch.
Kenneth Byrd, Morrison's then-boyfriend, was sentenced to life in prison for the crime. He is appealing the sentence.
