FREMONT, N.C. — According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, an autopsy will be conducted Tuesday to determine the cause of death of a man found in a car on Monday.
Deputies were notified that the body of an African-American man had been found in a car on Moye Road around 2:30 p.m. Monday. The car was found in a wooded area off the dirt road.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a homicide occurred. The victim, identified as Kelly Donell Lamb, died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Deputies said the last time Lamb was seen alive was Saturday night at approximately 10 p.m. at his residence on West South Street in Fremont.
