DUNN, N.C. — A 63-year-old Dunn man is accused of sexually abusing his three young granddaughters.
Alton Borden faces 23 separate charges in connection with acts that allegedly occurred in Harnett County. Borden since has moved to Sampson County, where more charges may be pending.
Borden was arrested earlier this month and charged with 21 misdemeanor counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor. He since has been charged with two counts of felony first-degree sex offenses against a child.
He is being held on $600,000 bond.
Investigators say the offenses against the victims, who are now 13, 10 and 8, were reported by the girls' mother -- Borden's daughter.
