HOLLY RIDGE, N.C. — An Onslow County woman was charged Friday with murdering her mother.
According to deputies, Bonnie Witt's body was found in a shallow grave in her daughter's backyard in Holly Ridge. Witt had been missing for two months.
Investigators believe Janine Hemby, her husband, Christopher, and a 15-year-old plotted the crime. All are charged with murder.
