Boil-Water Advisory Remains In Effect For Scotland Neck

— Residents in Scotland Neck and surrounding areas in Halifax County remains under a water advisory after a water main break.

Town leaders said the order could be lifted sometime this week.

State officials are concerned about bacteria in the water supply. Restaurants in the area were forced to close.

Repair crews located and sealed the water main break.
