KENLY, N.C. — An air-filter plant in Johnston County will close in two months, putting 160 people out of work.
Clarcor Air Filtration Products told workers this week that the company would close the Purolator plant in Kenly as part of a $22 million restructuring program. The plant has been a major employer in town for more than 20 years.
The Tennessee-based company plans to provide outplacement and job-training services to the workers before the Nov. 6 plant closing.
