— North Carolina officials have arrested an Oklahoma man for allegedly abducting a teenage girl who has been missing for months.

The 16-year-old Skiatook girl managed to escape from Gary Patterson of Afton, Okla., and get to the police department in Rose Hill, North Carolina.

The girl had been missing since April fourth. Her name has not been released.

The teen says Patterson threatened to hurt her and her family if she didn't leave with him.

Officials say Patterson had abducted the girl last summer.

She returned to family and then says Patterson forced her to go with him a second time.

Oklahoma officials plan to extradite Patterson.
