CARRBORO, N.C. — Fire crews in Carrboro on Thursday put out a blaze at a high school being built.

The fire occurred at the new Carrboro High School, which is currently under construction on Rock Haven Road.

The fire chief told WRAL the fire was contained to the roof. Damage to the building was minimal. Two other fire departments helped to shuttle in water.

The fire chief also said the fire is suspicious because it happened when no one should have been working on the building.
