Pageant Officials Want To See Revels' Topless Photos

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — The controversy of the 2002 Miss North Carolina pageant is not over.

State pageant officials want to see the topless photos of Rebekah Revels. Lawyers will not go into detail, but they say it is critical to their defense in Revels' lawsuit against them.

Revels resigned as Miss North Carolina when her ex-fiance threatened to reveal the pictures. She claims he took them without her permission.

Barry Nakell, Revels' attorney, says he is trying to protect her privacy. He says the pageant should be able to get what they need by seeing Revels' face only.

There has been no response yet from pageant attorneys.
