3 Arrested In Wilson Shooting

WILSON, N.C. — Authorities have arrested three suspects in connection with a shooting early Monday that left one man in serious condition.

U.S. Marshals apprehended Angela Harvey, 24; Barbara Jenkins, 26; and Kenneth Monroe, 24, and charged them in the shooting of 31-year-old Espeideecy Jones. According to authorities, Harvey and Jenkins were arrested Tuesday at a residence in Bunnlevel, while Monroe was found hiding inside a boarding house in Fayetteville late Thursday afternoon.

Jones was found in the front seat of a vehicle parked in the 300 block of West Spruce Street at about 1:30 a.m. Monday, police said. He had been shot several times and was flown to Pitt County Memorial Hospital, in Greenville, for treatment.

Witnesses told investigators that two men and two women had spoken with Jones shortly before the shooting, and one of the men then began to fire a weapon, police said. The four people were seen fleeing the area in a white sport utility vehicle, possibly a four-door Chevrolet Blazer, police said.

Authorities said they soon expect to arrest a fourth suspect in connection with the shooting.
