Fire Damages Fayetteville Church

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Investigators in Fayetteville want to know what sparked a fire at a church.

The fire happened at Mattock Memorial AME Zion Church on Gillespie Street around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Firefighters were able to put out the flames. Officials said the fellowship hall and pastor's study suffered some smoke damage.

No one was injured in the fire.
