WILSON, N.C. — Police are searching for four suspects in connection with a shooting early Monday that left one man in serious condition.

Espeideecy Jones, 31, was found in the front seat of a vehicle parked in the 300 block of West Spruce Street at about 1:30 a.m. Monday, police said. He had been shot several times and was flown to Pitt County Memorial Hospital, in Greenville, for treatment.

Jones was listed in serious condition Monday afternoon.

Witnesses told investigators that two men and two women had spoken with Jones shortly before the shooting, and one of the men then began to fire a weapon, police said. The four people were seen fleeing the area in a white sport utility vehicle, possibly a four-door Chevrolet Blazer, police said.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255.
