Cause of Death Determined In Durham Homicide

DURHAM, N.C. — An autopsy conducted by the state medical examiner's office has determined that a woman who was found dead Wednesday morning at Duke Manor Apartments died as a result of manual strangulation.

A maintenance worker found the naked body of Latisha Williamson, 20, of 311 S. LaSalle St., lying in the bushes near Building 1 just before 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

Her husband, Elisha Williamson, 27, of the same address, has been charged with murder.
