Cyberlux Lands Major Retailer As Buyer For Emergency Lighting System

Posted Updated

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — A "major retailer" will sell the light-emitting diode (LED) emergency lighting system built by RTP-based Cyberlux.

Cyberlux did not identify the retailer nor did it disclose specifics of the order other than to say it is "the largest order" to date for the high-tech EverOn product.

"For contractual reasons, we are unable to name the retailer at this time but we hope to launch a joint marketing campaign when the EverOn hits the stores," said Mark Schmidt, president and chief operating officer of Cyberlux. "The EverOn product is clearly revolutionary and positioned to replace the flashlight ..."

The EverOn is designed to provide more than 60 hours of light with four AA-size batteries. It measures 7 inches in length, 3.5 inches in width and is 2.4 inches tall.
