Two Hurt After Being Hit By Chapel Hill Police Car

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Two people were hurt Wednesday when a car driven by a Chapel Hill police officer hit them.

The pedestrian collision happened at 10:11 p.m. Wednesday when Sgt. C. Quinlan was heading east on West Franklin Street after exiting the parking lot at

126 West Franklin St.

Two pedestrians were crossing West Franklin Street, heading north, when the collision occurred, Chapel Hill police said.

They were transported to UNC Hospitals with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The collision is under investigation.

More information will be available when the investigation is complete, police said.
