Harnett County Authorities Make Arrests In Series Of Burglaries

BROADWAY, N.C. — The Harnett County Sheriff has announced the arrest of four suspects in a series of recent break-ins.

The arrests came after deputies executed a search warrant at the Broadway residence of Justin Ashley Clark, Meloni Cummings and Christoper Ray Thomas. The search revealed property from six break-ins that occurred in Lillington and Broadway between June 10 and June 12.

Among the buildings broken into were two churches and a flower shop.

Property recovered during the search consisted of a computer system, computer components, credit cards, prescription medication, assorted jewelry and electronic equipment.

Clark was charged with six counts of burglary, six counts of larceny and six counts of possession of stolen goods. He was placed in the Harnett County jail under a $150,000 secured bond.

Cummings was charged with one count of possession of stolen goods. She was placed in the Harnett County jail under a $6,000 secured bond.

Thomas was charged with six counts of burglary, six counts of larceny and six counts of possession of stolen goods. He was placed in the Harnett County jail under a $150,000 secured bond.

Also arrested in connection to the burglaries was Shannon Lee Maddox, who was charged with six counts of burglary, six counts of larceny and six counts of possession of stolen goods. Maddox was placed in the Harnett County jail under a $150,000 secured bond.

Meanwhile, warrants have been issued for the arrest of Johnty McDougald. Other arrests are pending.
