<b>JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C.</b> — A Smithfield man is dead after a wreck in Johnston County early Tuesday evening.

Authorities said Israel Aguilar Garcia was speeding on North Johnston Road near Packing Plant Road when he ran off the road and flipped. Garcia was ejected from the car and killed.

His 19-year-old passenger was taken to Johnston Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
