RALEIGH, N.C. — There was a splashy ending to an undercover drug bust in Raleigh as a car crashed into Crabtree Creek late Thursday evening.

Raleigh police say 24-year-old Willie Donaldson and 29-year-old Terrance Fonzy were selling marijuana in a car near a BP gas station on Glenwood Avenue near Crabtree Valley Mall when they were discovered by officers.

According to police, Donaldson tried to put his car in reverse and hit the officers' vehicle. Donaldson's car then went forward over a ledge into Crabtree Creek.

Both suspects tried to flee from the scene, but they were later arrested. Donaldson faces a number of charges, including felony hit and run and assault on a law enforcement officer. Fonzy also faces drug charges and resisting arrest.

No officers were injured in the incident.

Both men are scheduled to appear in court on Friday. They are currently being held in the Wake County Jail.
