RALEIGH, N.C. — The Raleigh Chamber of Commerce said it will go online instead of overseas to recruit new jobs.
Over the last four years, nearly $600,000 in city money was spent by aneconomic development program designed to bring jobs to the Capitol City.So far, the program has not brought any new jobs to Raleigh.
Officials said they want to create a Web site that markets Raleigh to new businesses.
The site would replace the costly trips overseas that have drawn criticism from city leaders.
