Second Suspect Arrested In Fatal Kinston Shootout

KINSTON, N.C. — A second suspect has been apprehended in a Kinston shooting spree that left two dead and five others injured.

Authorities said that 21-year-old Derek Suggs of Kinston was captured by federal authorities at an apartment complex off Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh around 3 p.m. Tuesday. According to authorities, over $1,700 in cash was also seized.

He is one of three suspects in the shooting death of Dante Suggs -- Derek Suggs' twin brother -- and Lagina Brown on June 23.

Police previously arrested 19-year-old Anthony Lamont Roberson of LaGrange and charged with aiding and abetting felony murder. Authorities are still on the lookout for Milton Lee Jones, 27, of Kinston in connection with the shootout.
