AAIPharma Names Former Quintiles Executive As IT Vice President

WILMINGTON, N.C. — Martin Tyson, a former chief information officer at Quintiles Transnational, is the new senior vice president of information systems and technology for

AAIPharma

.

Tyson has more than 30 years of experience in working with IT systems for pharmaceutical firms. Before he joined Quintiles, Tyson worked for Glaxo Wellcome (now GlaxoSmithKline).

"Mr. Tyson will play a critical role in advancing AAIPharma's global IT infrastructure. The development of a robust and forward-looking IT operation is of great importance in realizing AAIPharma's mission to bring innovation and productivity to drug development worldwide," said Ludo Reynders, AAIPharma's chief executive officer. "Martin's experience in the pharmaceutical and drug development sector, and his knowledge of market needs and opportunities will be invaluable as AAIPharma sets its course into the future."

Reynders is also a former Quintiles executive.
