ORANGE COUNTY, N.C. — Two people were killed and a third person was critically injured in a one-vehicle crash in Orange County early Saturday morning.

Authorities said Kourtney Adair, 19, of Roxboro, and Shaun Patrick Connolly, 19, of Timberlake, were killed when the vehicle ran off the right side of the road and hit a tree on Highway 157, north of Hillsborough.

Renea Long was airlifted to UNC Hospitals, where she was listed in critical condition Saturday afternoon.

Authorities said speed was a factor in the crash, and none of the people involved in the wreck were wearing seat belts. It has not yet been determined by authorities who was driving at the time of the accident.
