RALEIGH, N.C. — Fuquay-Varina police are searching for a man who attempted to rob a bank while he was talking on a cellular phone.

The man entered the SunTrust bank on North Main Street shortly after 1 p.m. on Wednesday and passed a note to the teller, authorities said, but he left before the robbery was complete.
