Pharmaceutical Institute
is now offering an online training program for pharmaceutical and biotech firms.
The Corporate Academy Program is designed to help companies set up their own "online universities" by providing the training infrastructure to design and support such an effort.
The program includes four major points: content, online learning environment, program management and custom course development.
"While many pharmaceutical and biotech companies agree that they're in need of a complete training infrastructure, building and maintaining such an infrastructure presents significant challenges," said Dan Blue, executive director of the Pharmaceutical Institute. "The time and resources required to select or build, implement, and administer an online learning environment can be very time consuming. Most companies also find it extremely difficult to develop or source the high-quality educational content necessary to meet their needs. Companies that have made the investment to build this infrastructure have generally underestimated the effort involved in maintaining their learning environment."
